Hello Sun – we’ve missed you so much! Let’s get out there, get grounded, take off our shoes and be dazzled with a crisp quenching wine in hand. Now the mood’s set, there are no surprises what’s kicking off this year’s summer stunners – Port Phillip’s freshest of the fresh 2021 Rosé. Always a bargain, light and dry, and in-stock all through the thirsty months.
Later on as the sun sets, try Maude’s intensely smooth Pinot Noir from NZ’s Central Otago – the bargain of the region. Drink it this year, or sometime over the next 5. Finally, a textural white from Loire. Jacky Blot is my all time favourite Chenin Blanc producer, I used to seek his wines out with much difficulty when living in Paris. His “Pét-Nat Ancestrale” is astonishing, but this time we’ve lined up the low risk trifecta of great vintage – great producer – great vineyard. Jacky’s 2019 Rémus is seriously serious and will keep going until that sun pops back up over our eastern horizon.
If Coche-Dury get’s your attention then get in store – the 2017 Puligny-Montrachet “Les Enseignieres” arrived with our latest shipment. Also in stock is the recently crowned 100-point Sadie Family Columella, along with some friends – this is South African Grand Cru. We’ve gone and found some well priced 2017 Chateau Montrose, and drumroll…..a Christmas show stopper – Magnums of Jean-Claude Ramonet’s Chassagne-Montrachet rouge.
On that note, we’ve decided to magnum-ify Christmas. Boom! We’d be absolutely delighted to personalise your Noël and Summer celebrations with our authentic selections that over deliver at every price point. We’re always 10% off mixed dozens, and promise our wines taste 32% better.
